How To Play:
Are You Even Emo?

The Objective

Score more points than the people you came with. That's the whole thing. This is not a race. Nobody's speedrunning their teenage trauma. Whoever ends with the most points is crowned Emo Royalty for the day: supreme ruler of the friend group, keeper of the eyeliner, final word on whether it was a phase. The title is absolute and lasts right up until everyone goes home.

In The Box

Each deck packs at least 80 cards, depending on your edition. Collect every edition and you're sitting on over 350 trivia questions, all written by a panel of certified elder emos.

What You Need

  • At least one friend
  • A pen and paper for keeping score, or for writing down answers if there are more than two of you

You get one guess per question. No phoning a friend. No lifelines. You were alive for that show.

How To Play

  • Two players: one person asks the question, the other answers, then you swap. Trade off all the way through the deck.
  • More than two players: pick one person to ask every question. Everyone else writes their answer down instead of saying it out loud, then reveals.

Scoring

Right answer? Take a point. Some editions score in pieces:

  • Release dates: year (1), month (1), exact date (1). Up to 3 points.
  • Hometowns: state (1), exact town/city (1). Up to 2 points.
